L’élection de « Miss monde Muslimah » a été remportée vendredi par Fatma Ben Guefrache, une informaticienne tunisienne.
Une informaticienne tunisienne, Fatma Ben Guefrache, a remporté vendredi 21 novembre en Indonésie l’élection de « Miss monde Muslimah », présentée comme une riposte aux concours de beauté occidentaux.
« Puisse Allah tout-puissant m’aider dans cette mission et libérer la Palestine, s’il vous plaît, s’il vous plaît, libérez la Palestine et le peuple syrien », a déclaré la gagnante de 25 ans, en pleurs, au moment de recevoir son prix, notamment une montre en or et le petit pélerinage à La Mecque.
Les 18 finalistes ont défilé en robes scintillantes sur fond de temples anciens labellisés par l’Unesco, dans le plus grand pays musulman au monde. Les épreuves finales étaient organisées près des temples hindouistes de Prambanan. C’est délibérément que les organisateurs ont choisi un site hindouiste : il s’agit de montrer la tolérance de l’islam envers les autres religions, ont-ils dit.

Mais il ne s’agissait pas que d’une affaire de beauté. Elles devaient porter le voile et étaient jugées non seulement sur leur apparence mais aussi sur leur capacité à réciter les versets du Coran et leurs vues sur l’islam dans le monde moderne.
En 2013, la troisième édition de ce concours avait attiré l’attention de la presse mondiale, lorsque ses promoteurs l’avaient présenté comme un pied de nez à la finale du concours Miss Monde.
Celle-ci se tenait à peu près au même moment sur l’île de Bali, au grand dam d’une frange dure d’islamistes qui avaient dénoncé un « concours de prostituées ». Dans un souci d’apaisement, les organisateurs avaient d’ailleurs passé par pertes et profits le fameux défilé en bikini.
